will contain credit card information details for a maximum of five years, this hand written sales sheet information will
remain locked away and safely stored within our premises under strict security.
At the end of five years, this information is shredded into fine paper particles and recycled to our local pet shop as pet
litter paper. : The forms are so shredded into small 5 mm diameter particles that it would be impossible to try to
distinguish one sheet from hundreds of other pulverised 5 mm diameter paper confetti dots.
6. How does Unitech Electronics Pty. Ltd. protect my personal financial-related information ?
Securely keeping your personal financial-related information private is vitally important to us.
As mentioned (above), we do not keep any personal records on any computer system, this reduces computer espionage.
Surprising to most, we still perform and process all sales inquiries "by hand" on company printed paper forms, nothing is
entered into a separate non-online computer that is totally inaccessible via the internet.
As with all information and re-capping, Unitech Electronics Pty. Ltd. will never rent or sell your personal financial-related
information as well believe it to be immoral and this includes all information kept by Unitech Electronics Pty. Ltd.
7. What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information ?
Security with regards to stored sales documents that contain credit card details is paramount all documents are securely
locked away along with all our own personal records and dealing over the five year period as required by Taxation laws.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Bearing this "internet vulnerability" in mind, we strive to protect your personal information, Unitech Electronics Pty. Ltd.
cannot ensure or warrant the security of your information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you
do solely at your own risk. To date we can state for the record, we have not had and security breaches at Unitech Electronics.
Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security by decoding it, printing the file then deleting
that file permanently from our computer systems using a special 7 times " write-over the file " method, again using 7 times 16
zeros. [ 0000000000000000 ] To add to this we use a separate firewall and NOD32 virus checking software.
8. What else should I know about my privacy ?
Please bear in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example through an email, that your
information can be possibly ( or very remotely ) be collected and used by others if you have a worm virus or a Trojan virus in
your computer's hard drive. We recommend NOD32 as a very effective weapon against infiltrations and yes, it is not free.
We use it. Find NOD 32 here, http://www.nod32.com.au . Their local Australian representative is located in Queensland.
Even the major "banks" do warn you of this factor when using their 128 bit encryption when doing computer online banking.
In short, we are of the belief that if you post personal information online that could ( remotely possible ) expose your details
as accessible to someone unscrupulous in the public arena, you may even receive unsolicited messages from other parties in
return without yours or our permission.
If this event does occur, we need to be notified immediately and pass on the relevant details to the Australian Federal Police
or the Cyber Crimes section of the New South Wales Police for identifying who has committed the infiltration.
Please Note: Banks don't email you. It is not their policy of sending you any account requests via email. These are criminals.
Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your information and at Unitech Electronics Pty. Ltd, every
effort is taken not to expose your information and of course our own business information over the internet.
We take all precautions very seriously as should you, to ensure not only your private credit card details and as well our own
confidential records are kept securely away from prying evil eyes.
Please note: Click here to see the Terms and Conditions page.
Please be careful and responsible whenever you're online.
9. What if I object to these terms and conditions ?
Any comments you wish to add or you do not agree or object to our privacy policy statement, please feel free to discuss them
during our business hours, on 02 9820 3555 or you may put your suggestions and comments in writing to us, marking the
envelope clearly with your full name and return address and full land line phone contact details and a suitable time to call.

We do not and will not store anybodys personal details on any electronic storage or retreival device. End of story !
This "Non-Storage of clients/customers details" policy was adopted in May 1989 and has continued to today and beyond.
